Straight Street is a Cambridge-based AV production company providing sound, lighting, staging, and video for conferences, galas, festivals, AGMs, awards nights, and community events across Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge.
Based on Saltsman Drive, we are close enough to visit your venue in person, familiar with many of the rooms across Waterloo Region, and ready to be there early on show day. Local does not mean limited — the same experienced team that produces festival main stages and 500-guest galas brings that knowledge and attention to every event we support. Since 1997, each project has included a rehearsed production plan, a transparent all-in quote covering equipment, labour, and transportation, and a senior AV producer who manages it from load-in until the last guest leaves. - Mary’s Hospital 100th Anniversary Gala, Kitchener — full production for a 1920s-themed gala: staging, lighting, and sound, a custom checkered dance floor, and a built entrance that carried guests into the room.
- WRHBA SAM Awards of Distinction & 70th Anniversary Gala, Bingemans (Marshall Hall), Kitchener — part of a relationship with the Waterloo Region Home Builders’ Association that now spans roughly two decades.
- KW Skating Club ice shows, City of Waterloo Recreation Complex — lighting and clear sound in a difficult arena acoustic, coordinated around tight ice-time scheduling.
